Tucson Launch Pad
July
Tucson was/is hot. Really hot. Can be. But with friends, a little planning, and cooler country ahead, there was no longer any reason to sit still. I started looking north, checking the weather, destinations, and trying to get back into the groove again. The road is a groove, that’s for sure.
Elevation
Mount Lemmon was a familiar quick hit. Higher elevation, cooler air, big views—and a good place to shake off the desert heat before heading north.
Oh, I miss alpine!
The plan was coming together: a narrow ribbon of promising cool ahead stretching from New Mexico into Southern Colorado.
